Elevate Club Flag Football
This program is about developing young athletes the right way — with confidence, fundamentals, football IQ, teamwork, and a coaching environment that actually cares about the kid behind the athlete.
Program Overview
Elevate Club Flag Football is starting with one team and a clear purpose: to give kids a place to grow, compete, learn the game, and build confidence without the pressure of being treated like finished athletes.
The goal roster will be around 10 athletes. We will compete in a 7v7 format, but the bigger focus is development. I want players who are coachable, willing to work, and excited to be part of something being built the right way.
This is still Elevate Youth Coaching. That means the focus will always be bigger than football. We will work on skill, mindset, confidence, leadership, and how to be a great teammate.
Weekly Structure
Athletes on the team will train twice per week. Each session is built to help them grow as individuals while also developing as a team.
We are not just running drills. Every practice has a purpose and builds toward understanding the game, improving confidence, and competing the right way.
Commitment
This is a team-first program. While development is the focus, we are building something that requires commitment from both athletes and families.
Athletes are expected to show up consistently, be coachable, and support their teammates. Growth comes from consistency, not just showing up when it is convenient.
Founding Team
As we build Elevate Club Flag Football, I am starting with one small founding team. These athletes will help set the tone, culture, and standard for everything this program becomes.
To build this the right way, I am offering a founding team rate for the athletes who are part of this first group.
This rate is locked in and guaranteed for the first full year for all founding team members.
As the program grows and expands, pricing will increase for future athletes — but founding team members will keep this rate for their first year in the program.
This includes weekly training sessions, coaching, and ongoing development. League fees, uniforms, and tournament play will be handled separately as we move through each season.
I am looking for the right group of athletes and families to build this with.
Right Fit
Kids who enjoy flag football and want to improve beyond just showing up for games.
Athletes who are willing to listen, learn, and grow over time.
Parents who value development, consistency, and a positive team environment.
Players who are willing to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Why Club Flag?
We will work on catching, route running, pulling flags, spacing, defense, communication, and understanding how the game works.
I want athletes to understand why they are doing something, not just memorize plays. The goal is to help them think the game, not just play it.
Kids grow when they know their coach believes in them. This program will push them, but it will also build them up.
Every athlete has a role. We will teach effort, accountability, communication, and what it means to be part of a team.
Development Path
This will be built in stages so the athletes can develop, compete, and grow together before moving into a more competitive league.
We will start by competing in Herriman Rec while continuing to build our team, chemistry, and foundation.
Another season to keep developing in a familiar league while sharpening skills, roles, and team identity.
Summer league will be optional and used mainly for reps, development, and keeping athletes active in the game.
The goal is to transition into the Gridiron Flag League in Draper once we have built the foundation and are ready for that next step.
Team Identity
This is more than just a season. We are building a team identity that athletes can be proud of.
As the program grows, team gear, uniforms, and branding will be part of the experience. I want these athletes to feel like they are part of something real.
Expectations
Coach Brett’s Approach
I want to win. The kids will want to win. But winning cannot be the only thing we care about, especially while kids are still learning who they are as athletes.
My goal is to coach them hard, but also make sure they know I care about them. I want them to leave practice feeling like they got better, like they belong, and like they are part of something positive.
If we build the confidence, the fundamentals, the teamwork, and the mindset, the wins will come. But more importantly, the kids will grow.
“This is not just about creating a flag football team. It is about creating a place where kids can grow in confidence, learn how to compete, and feel supported while they develop.”
